Contact Sheriff Caleb Snoddy's office for incident, arrest, offense, jail, dispatch, policy and audiovisual records, identifying the date, case number and handling division where known.
Use the official public GIS for preliminary parcel and assessment research. Contact Revenue Commissioner Sandra Thorn Wright for appraisal, assessment, mapping, tax, Board of Equalization and certified property records.
Search the Board minutes and bid-document archives first. Contact Superintendent Jeff Scott's central office for agendas, exhibits, contracts, procurement, finance, personnel and other unpublished district records.
Route records to the applicable clerk or designated custodian for Addison, Arley, Double Springs, Haleyville, Lynn, Natural Bridge or Nauvoo. Route police, court, utility, school and appointed-board records to the creating municipal body when it maintains separate custody.
Contact the Board of Registrars for registration, voter-roll and qualification records; Probate for election administration, precinct and canvass records; and Circuit Clerk John D. Snoddy, the Absentee Election Manager, for absentee-election records.
Contact Director A.J. Brown for emergency plans, damage assessments, grant, shelter, exercise, warning and administrative records created or held by Winston County EMA. Identify state or federal records separately where another agency has custody.
Contact the Winston County ECD for district-board, budget, contract, addressing, CAD, dispatch and 911-audio records. Identify the incident, date, time, telephone number or event number when known and distinguish dispatch records from the responding agency's report.
Contact Coroner Tracy Yealock for non-exempt coroner investigation and administrative records. Obtain eligible death, birth, marriage and divorce certificates through ADPH, not from the Coroner. Route law-enforcement reports and autopsy material to the creating agency.
Contact County Engineer James Glasgow or the Road Department for county road, bridge, right-of-way, map, bid, inspection, project, subdivision and maintenance records. Use the current ACCA transportation-plan index for published Rebuild Alabama plans.
Contact the Sanitation Office for county collection routes, service policies, complaints, billing administration, contracts, procurement, equipment and operational records. Route state permits and garbage-exemption or environmental-health files to ADPH or ADEM as applicable.
Contact Archivist Treva Hood to identify historical county volumes, indexes, manuscripts, photographs and government records held by the Archives. Confirm whether the original creating office or Archives controls access and certification.
Contact the county health department or ADPH for environmental-health, food and lodging inspection, jail inspection, solid-waste, onsite-sewage, clinic-program and administrative records. Obtain eligible certificates through the county office or Center for Health Statistics.
Search the City Council agenda/minutes archive first and contact City Clerk Christy Harbin for council, ordinance, budget, contract, procurement and administrative records. Route police, court, utility and airport records to the creating city department or board.
Contact Town Clerk Whitney Courington for council, ordinance, budget, contract, license and administrative records. Route police, fire, water and street records to the creating town department after confirming custody.
Route each request to the clerk or designated custodian of the town that created the record. Use Addison, Arley or Lynn's verified municipal contact route where applicable; confirm current Natural Bridge and Nauvoo clerk contacts before filing rather than using a countywide address.
Identify the serving public system, then contact its municipality or water/sewer board for board, budget, rate, contract, procurement, project, service-area and utility records. Use ADEM for state-created drinking-water, permit and compliance records.
Search the Board page, meeting schedule and document library first. Contact the Haleyville City Schools central office for agendas, minutes, exhibits, contracts, procurement, finance, policy, personnel and other unpublished district records.
Contact the Authority for board, budget, contract, procurement, permit, lease, project, lake-management, recreation and administrative records it created or holds. Identify TVA, ADCNR or another agency separately for records those entities created.
Contact Lakeland administration or the Health Care Authority for board, budget, audit, contract, procurement, affiliation, rate, policy and other governance records. Request only segregable public material and exclude patient-identifying or protected clinical information.
