Start on the county Forms page and review its Public Records Request Form. The PDF predates Act 2024-278, so confirm the current receiving office, delivery method, fee terms and any residency documentation before filing.
Contact the Sheriff's Office main line and ask which division and current written procedure apply to the requested record. Do not assume the County Commission's general form is accepted for sheriff, incident, jail or investigative records.
For indexed land and recording records, start with the Probate Office Recordings page and its online records portal. Contact the office for certified copies, non-indexed probate files and the current fulfillment method.
Search eligible state trial-court cases through AlaCourt ACCESS or contact the appropriate Autauga Circuit Clerk division. Confirm copy procedures and fees with the clerk; sealed, juvenile and otherwise confidential records are not public routes.
Use the official property-search portal for assessment and tax data. Contact the Revenue Commissioner's Office for records or certified copies not available through the portal and confirm the current request procedure.
Check the Board page first for agendas and minutes. For records not posted, contact the district central office and ask for the designated public-records officer and current written procedure. The student transcript route is separate from general public records.
Choose the municipality that keeps the record. Prattville publishes a public-records page; Millbrook publishes a City Clerk page; official sites are available for Autaugaville and Pine Level. Billingsley's current records procedure and direct municipal contact still require confirmation.
